Massage Guns Showdown

Recently everyone's been loving my Hypervolt massage gun action after their acupuncture, cupping, and manual therapy treatments. It is the absolute icing on the cake and a great way to loosen up bound-up muscle tension. Naturally, there have been a lot of questions about whether I recommend self-treatment with a massage (or percussion) gun at home and if so, which brand and model I recommend. Take a quick read below for some suggestions.

Hypervolt... Theragun.. Jigsaw... these are just a few of the more popular percussion massage guns out there.

Who is it made for?

Do you work at a desk? Stand all day? Get your fitness on the regular or go heavy on the weekend? Hold on to tension deep in your muscles? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you are the target market for one of these babies.

Who shouldn’t use a massage gun?

I would be cautious if you are pregnant, elderly, or frail. Definitely do not use this on children since the tool pushes out strong force which can cause injury.

What’s a good brand to buy?

Hypervolt... Theragun.. Jigsaw... these are just a few of the more popular percussion massage guns out there.

When I was looking to purchase a percussion gun several years ago, there were very few selections. I almost bought the Rapid Release gun but after more research, I decided on the top-of-the-line Hypervolt and paid a premium price.

Lucky for you, now there are so many more options that are considerably more affordable. In fact, on Amazon, the selection of massage guns (including ones less than $100) is positively overwhelming! Plus, percussion massage gun technology has evolved exponentially. Most include an array of attachments, some are digital (not sure if it's that necessary), and many come with a handy storage case.

What are your top picks?

Check them out, reach out with any questions, and let me know what you think!

A shoutout to A+M for inspiring this post! Thank you!!
